smack in the middle of the finale the channel clicks over to Lipstick Jungle and Private Practice (which I should stop taping cause it sucks). Damn....gotta watch the rest later....
more to come......

On facebook this morning:

"Suzanne Baffer is thinking she has bronchitis and is off to the Dr. :( "

my DVR doesn't want me to watch cable tv. It stopped recording Army Wives and Mad Men. damn!! Maybe it's the universe trying to tell me something? too much t.v. maybe?
ok, I'll read tonight :)

recent t.v. random updates

Amazing Race:
"She totally pushed my sports bra off the balcony"- divorcee chick. I want to switch teams, these girls are so annoying. At least the pitstop and detour's were interesting.

90210:
Getting better by the episode. Inspired by Never Been Kissed a new girl (narc) arrives at West Bev, Adrianna spirals out of control and may wind up dead after feeling the guilt for getting Bug Eyes in trouble with the law, Ethans got a new baby mama when a class experiment pairs him with Annie, Scary movies and Dixon don't mix much to Silvers dismay.

Bros/Sis:
Ojai foods is in the financial gutter and Tommy is pulling out all the stops. Sarah and Saul wind up leaving the family business for greener pastures, but not after Sarah takes a stand against the board and backs Tommy's decisions. Wow...Justin finally opens up to Rebecca about his time at war, only after the guys life he saved winds up opening old wounds. Kevin steps back into the closet in order to get ahead in his job. way to go Kev.

DWTS:
Rocco shook what his mamma gave him in order to stick around another week. Although I don't think it's going to do any good. Cloris actually rocked the floor last night with an outstanding performance....and I'm quoting Len!! bye bye Rocco!

Dirty Sexy Money:
Little Lucy Liu is a sneaky one, sleeping with Jeremy to get the inside scoop on the Darlings for her case as the prosecuting attorney against Letitia. After a fight at Ellens funeral, Nick and Brian have a throwdown and wind up in Jail. Brian proceeds to tell Nick that Letitia's innocent cause Tripp killed the dad. So....Nick winds up representing her case. In the meantime he needs to pick who will take over her role in the family business. I kinda thought he'd pick Karen to piss of Simon, but he wound up picking Brian. It really didn't even matter cause at the press conference Tripp picked Nick!!! wtf...Lisa was pissed! no babymaking for them!

I'm obsessed with this song

Picking a Nielsen home

Our samples include homes from all 50 states, from cities to towns, from suburbs to rural areas. We have homeowners and apartment dwellers — some with children and some without — across a broad range of demographic categories. We include people of all ages, income groups, geographic areas, ethnicities and educational levels — all in proportion to their presence in the population at large. Once homes are selected and agree to participate, we take great care to protect their identity and privacy, and no data about individuals or specific households are ever disclosed.
Can families volunteer to become a Nielsen home? While we'd like to accept volunteers in our panels, we are unable to do so.
We select households through one of two different methods: geographic selection (area probability sampling) in the national sample and larger markets, and randomly-generated telephone numbers (Total Telephone Frame) in smaller markets.
For area probability sampling, Nielsen's statistical research department begins with broad, U.S. Census-defined geographic areas. We dispatch field representatives to identify each and every housing unit in these areas, regardless of size or accessibility. Ultimately, we narrow the selection down to individual, randomly-selected housing units. Using this method, all households have an equal probability of selection into the sample. This allows for complete coverage of the country, since no homes are excluded by design.

Nielsen Rating System

We collect viewing information for both national and local programs — not only what's being viewed (tuning data), but also the composition of the audience (demographic data).
Daily household minute-by-minute viewing and tuning data, from both the national and local metered samples, is stored in the in-home metering system until it is automatically retrieved by our computers each night. Once the data is relayed via phone lines to our operations center in Oldsmar, Florida, it is processed that same night for release to the television industry the next day.
Television networks, stations, and third-party data providers give us information on program lineups, telling us what aired on each channel. This essential reference data helps us turn the raw tuning and viewing data into meaningful numbers for reporting.
To comprehend the dimension of our task, let's look at the numbers. We collect information from approximately 25,000 metered households starting at about 3 a.m. each day, process approximately 10 million viewing minutes a day, and make more than 4,000 gigabytes of data available for customer access the next day.

smoking keeps the weight off

90210's Shenae Grimes purchasing like 10 packs of menthols in L.A.

Maybe if she lays off the sticks she can gain a little much needed weight.
